40+ ladies finished 3rd, U18G 4th, U16G 4th, U18B 2nd and U16B 3rd - no Premierships, but lots of great team work & comaradrie.

Coming off dominating the Australian road race scene, winning the Commonwealth Half Marathon championships and placing second at the Zatopek 10,000m; Jack Rayner continued his fine form finishing second at the World Cross Country selection trials at Stromlo Park and securing himself selection in the Australian team.

Some great racing by Western Athletics runners yesterday evening at John Landy Field in the Steigen Spectacular.
On Tuesday 18th of December, the club got together for the annual Western Athletics Christmas gift. It was an enjoyable night and chance to relax with a delicious bbq, salads and desserts - thank you to all who cooked and provided food. Always a nice social event.

Cody Shanahan 8th in Mens Open 1500m,
Matthew Hussey 5th in de Castella U20 Mens 3000m, and
Jack Rayner 2nd in in the Zatopek Mens 10,000m.
Jack set a new Open 10,000m club record finishing second to Stewart McSweyn in a time of 28:12.07.
