A big day of cross country, over a variety of distances. Incorporating the Men's Victorian 10 mile (16km) Cross Country Championships, run continuously since the 1890s, this year the event returned to Brimbank Park, the first time in nine years. |

The long road relay from Harcourt to Bendigo, through spectacular countryside. Legs vary from flat and short, to undulating and challenging. Teams of 6 contest the Men's Division 1 & 2 relays whilst teams of 5 contest all other divisions. Competitors wear the traditional Japanese Tasuki sash, which is passed from runner to runner as the relay progresses over the 32.9km & 42.9km course. |

Athletes were met with good conditions for the running of the SKINS Sandown Classic on Saturday 29 May 10 at the Sandown Raceway. Excellent performances for our leading open athletes Michael Masseni & Belinda Keogh who raced beautifully in a race which was won by Geelong Regions Mark Tucker & Cassie Fien of Wellington Athletic Club. XCR'10 Rd Two Lardner Park results & report |

On a beautiful calm Saturday afternoon (8 May10), 30 Western Athletics cross country runners made the 1h 45m trek to Lardner Park to race on a wet & muddy technical course amongst the rolling hills of Warragul. With numbers down a little we were still able to have complete teams in Men Div 2, 4 & U14 and 2 complete teams in the women's U16 race. |

Round One of the XCR Series was competed last Saturday under beautiful sunshine on a firm & testing XC Jells Park course. Western Athletics had ten relay teams representing the Club, with seven athletes competing in the XCR Series for the first time. |
