On the evening of Monday 31st May 2010, the Annual General Meeting was conducted and a new Committee were elected to lead Western Athletics for the upcoming 12 months.  

I would like to personally thank the membership for electing myself & our new Committee to lead the Club.   As President for a second term I would very much like to thank the work of the previous Committee, with a special mention to Stan Peska, Mechelle & Aimee Lane who have not re-nominated for this seasons Executive Committee.   As well as the Executive Committee, I would like to thank all of the other hard work done behind the scenes by the Sub Committees, winter, summer, social & fundraising. 

Most importantly, thank you to the athletes for your hard work & dedication to your training and to Western Athletics.

I thank & congratulate all of the above persons for volunteering their time to commit to our Club and helping to make our Club a strong & vibrant centre for athletics excellence.

We will also have some Sub Committees which all members can volunteer for; these Sub Committees will be lead by the following members:

• XCR'10 & Championships Sub Committee: Stu Macaulay
• Shield Competition & Championships Sub Committee: Looking for a Manager & helpers
• Social Sub Committee: Amiee Lane

Athletics Victoria have decided that Western Athletics are to have four Club Delegates to represent our Club, these members must be registered  members of the Club and do not necessarily need to be members of the Committee, but MUST vote IAW the Executive Committee's direction.  The Delegates attend the following meetings:

• Athletics Victoria AGM
• Athletics Victoria Summer General Meeting
• Athletics Victoria Winter General Meeting
• Any other extradionary meetings called by Athletics Victoria
